Every day of the week has its boss, the Archangel. Different Archangels are addressed in the case of various problems that need to be solved.
 
On Thursday: Archangel Uriel
The fourth of the holy archangels Uriel is "the light and flame of God." He observes Hell, plays the role of God's messenger, notifying, for example, Noah of the approach of the "end of the world." The patron of the fourth day of the week, has fiery power, is responsible for the light (enlightenment) and teaching universal secrets. Like the Angel of the fire of the Divine, Uriel inflames the souls of people with the love of God and destroys the impure affections of the earth in them. Archangel Uriel is depicted with a sword and in his lowered left hand “a fiery flame .”
Prayer to Archangel Uriel:
O great archangel of God Uriel! Thou art the shining of the fire of the Divine and the enlightener of those darkened by sins: enlighten my mind, my heart, my will by the power of the Holy Spirit and guide me to the path of repentance and pray to the Lord God, to save me from hell and from all my enemies visible and invisible, always now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
